How do you recruit your Homecare Assistants?

Many of Reedsfield Homecare Assistants join through recommendation. We advertise extensively on job boards, in local publications and through local marketing in our communities. All of our Homecare Assistants go through a rigorous process that includes telephone screening, a face to face interview, reference checking, completion of an enhanced DBS check and successful completion of our comprehensive induction program.


How early do your hourly care services start and how late do they finish?

Reedsfield Homecare Assistants work from 7am right through to 2030hrs, so can support you from getting up in the morning to getting into bed at night. We also have an out of hours On-call service from 1700hrs until 2100hrs to help manage any concerns you may have. We can also arrange for waking and sleeping nights (please contact the manager for further details).


What tasks will the Homecare Assistant complete?

Will I have lots of different Homecare Assistants visiting me?

Depending on the care package we put in place for you and the amount and time of your daily calls will determine the number of Homecare Assistants required to deliver the care to meet your personalised needs. this would always be kept to a minimum, for larger care packages a team of Homecare Assistants would be set up so you would see the same faces each week to provide consistency.



Does Reedsfield Care at Homecare meet all statutory obligations?

Yes.  As a care at home provider we are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and therefore we are required to follow the regulations and standards set by CQC. We are inspected regularly so that they can confirm we are following these correctly.

We are also registered with the UKHCA (UK Home Care Association) which is the national professional association and representative organisation for companies that provide homecare.


Do Reedsfield Care Homecare Assistant receive a good wage?

Yes, Reedsfield Care staff get paid above the National living Wage. the main benefit of this is to keep a highly motivated and committed team to provide qulaity care to our clients.
